Intrinsic properties of bioplastics are actually insufficient to fulfill some of the books of specifications.

Due to the increasing demand regarding materials with adequate properties, Natureplast has created Biopolynov in October 2010 the first private structure in Europe dedicated to improve and modify bioplastics.

Equipped with plastics process (compounding, injection moulding) and characterization machines, Biopolynov custom develops materials fulfilling submitted books of specifications, using the know-how acquired by Natureplast for some years, and its French and European partners network.

These projects can be funded by structures such as French regions, OSEO, or ADEME. The most important ones can also be carried out as collaborative projects, approved by competitive clusters.

Biopolynov also carries out its own internal development, focusing on improving mechanical, thermal or barrier properties of bioplastics. This work permit to offer new materials varieties, in accordance with market expectations.
